Dominique Toney is a Southern California raised actress, singer, & songwriter.
Her father is Kevin Toney, 2x Grammy-nominated pianist, recording artist, composer, and author. Her mother is Phyllis Toney, renowned costume designer and wardrobe supervisor to music royalty such as Diana Ross, Sir Paul McCartney, and Sting.
Dominique graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In August 2014, she released her first album A Love Like Ours, which entered the Top 10 purchased soul albums on Amazon the month of its release. Three singles from the album have played in over 20 radio markets across the country and in the UK.
Dominique is a past recipient of NBC’s Diversity Initiative Scholarship, where she was mentored by Primetime Emmy Award-winning casting directors Barbra Stordahl and Angela Terry.
She has appeared in dozens of national commercials for well-known brands such as Payless Shoes, McDonalds, and the 2023 Super Bowl Kia Telluride spot. For the last 7 years, Dominique has been the face of Blue Shield of California, featured on billboards and ads all across California.
